-
- : Why not just play the Amiga version? It's one of my all time favourites.
- : There is only four things about it I don't like: you can't switch off sound
- : for your own troops, so that no matter how fast your Amiga is the sounds made
- : at movement will slow you down. I tried hacking this out but didn't succeed.
- : Anyone having succeeded there please mail me.
-
- Actually its WarlordsII. Which is not available on the Amiga :(. Yes the
- sound does slow the player movement for the player.
-
- : The second thing is that the map cross-hair sprite will remain if you
- :switch to,
- : say, DirOpus, which is quite ugly.
-
- Damn Sprites ;).
-
- : Thirdly, the computer doesn't use ships and temples and is generally too
- : stupid
- : to beat me, even at 100% difficulty :^) It's best when you are playing
- : against friends who know the game thoroughly.
-
- I dont even play against the computer anymore, they are WIMPS :). My
- brother and I have had some very good extended Warlords games. I've
- gotten bored with it and he is making a career of beating up the other
- players in as few rounds as possible. I tried playint hte PC version on
- the Emplant but its so damn slow on my '030 as to render it impossoble to
- play, my brother wants to but a low class '386 just to play WarlordsII.
- The cost of a GFX card for the Amiga is about the price of a low end
- '386. I'm still debating on which to get just to play WarlordsII.
-
- I dont use the Mac much, if at all.nyone want to trade an Emplant for
- a '386 BB :).
-
- : Four: It's not playable by TCP/IP ;) Anyone come up with a genuine hack
- : will be greatly rewarded.. (snif, quite unlikely I guess..)
-
- There is a group making TCP games for the Amiga, maybe they will make
- TCP version of Bloodwars....
